1. Daily practice: 25 mins a day. Be Militant. Stick to It. Morning. Night. Do. It. Every. Single. Day. Habits compound.

2. The Fuck It Off Principle: Pick up a book. Read the first 100 pages. If it doesn’t float your boat. Fuck it off. Immediately. A great reading practice is more about fucking off books you hate vs. sticking with ones you kinda like,
   

3. The Secret Way to Have a Conversation with Someone Who Died 60 years ago: Read with a pen. Write thoughts and notes in columns. Reading with a pen allows you to have a conversation with the author. Am reading the Founder of Four Seasons’ autobiography. Reading with a pen is me having a conversation Issy Sharpe. It’s a wonderfully delightful experience. And you 10x you learning by reading with a pen IMO.
    

4. Different Inputs = Different Output + Read Weird Shit:  I’ll NEVER read a book on a Best Seller List. It’s dumb. Reading what everyone else is reading = same inputs = same outputs = no edge. You need an edge. Read weird shit.
   

5. The Lindy Effect - Nassim Taleb: The Lindy Effect is a heuristic (clever twat way of saying rule of thumb) the longer something’s been around, the longer it’s likely to survive. So as a general rule of thumb read really old books. They’re the good ones.
   

6. Reading Biographies > Business Books. Every. Single. Day. Of. The. Week. Read Biographies over Business books. Elon Musk doesn’t read Business Books, only Biographies that’s where all the juice is.
