I was in the David Lloyd Sauna when lightning struck sense into me.
this week I’ve had absolute mares brev.

I was in the David Lloyd, Brooklands. The greatest (ostensible) co-working space in All of The Home Counties Land.
Where one can work hard, flirt hard, train hard, sauna hard and get a paint job or scaffolding or tree surgeon quote from Davey or Lloyd
Although, much to my chagrin, the David Lloyd food is…limp dancing with tepid… flirting with anaemic… getting down with Down Right Fucking Disgusting.
I sat in the sauna surrounded by dark-roasted-peanut-butter-tanned, Da-Vinci-chiselled adonises who-love-chisel.
My Fun Tum, ostentatiously on show.
Hot stinky booze pouring out my heavy-weekend eyes.
Violent vexing verve whipped through my innards.

Let’s talk about Luxury Stresses, Courage and Missiles.
Luxury Stresses.
I read this amazing post by James Smith the other day.
”I've been thinking more and more about younger versions of myself. If I had a long day or I'm tired. I like to imagine a conversation with myself 10-15 years ago.
"You got a good job?" Yeah, really good.
"If your boss nice?" Yeah, I work for myself.
"Do you have to wear a suit?" No, I live in activewear, mostly shorts and bare foot."
"Is it enjoyable?" Yeah it's one of the best jobs possible for a human being alive.
"Do you enjoy your life?" Yeah I can do literally what I want whenever I want, with whoever I want.
I'd be absolutely in awe of the life I have now, yet some days I completely take it for granted, until I think about a hypothetical conversation with a younger version of myself.
If you own a challenger brand - please remember every stress is a luxury stress.
If you’re a building your dream - please remember you’re literally in the 0.000001% of the world - people would kill to be in our position.
